Terms Of Service
Last updated October 11, 2026
The short version. A parent runs the household and is responsible for it. Points, coins and loot are a game, not money. Real-world rewards are between you and your kids. Be decent, and do not try to break in.
Who We Are
Chores Wars (choreswars.com) is operated by Horizen LLC, based in North Carolina ("we", "us"). By using Chores Wars you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. Questions: hello@choreswars.com.
Early Days
Chores Wars is new. Features will change, some will break, and we will try to give notice before removing anything your family relies on. Families invited with a beta code play free.
Accounts
- Parents are the account holders. You must be at least 18 and the parent or legal guardian of any child you add.
- You run the household. You add the kids, set their PINs, decide the chores and rewards, and sign off on what counts. You are responsible for activity in your household, including your kids' use.
- Keep it locked. Keep your password private and the Base Code in the family. If a code leaks, make a new one in HQ. Tell us right away if you think someone got into your account.
- Other parents you invite get the same control of the household that you have.
Points, Coins, Loot And Rewards
- Points, coins, levels, crates, gear, abilities and everything else in the game are for fun. They have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or traded, and can change as we balance the game.
- Real-world rewards (allowance, ice cream, screen time, anything you set) are promises between you and your kids. Chores Wars only tracks progress. We do not hold, send or pay money, and we are not part of any agreement inside your family.
- There are no purchases, loot-box payments or ads aimed at kids in Chores Wars.
Price
Chores Wars costs $5 a month per household, every parent and every kid included. A new household subscribes when it enlists, through Stripe's checkout page, and gets a 7-day free trial: a card is collected at checkout and nothing is charged until the trial ends; cancel before then and you pay nothing. Subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled; cancel any time in Manage Billing and you keep access to the end of the period you paid for. If a plan lapses, parents can still sign in and the kids keep every point, coin and item they earned, but chore sign-offs pause until the household subscribes again. We do not refund partial months unless the law where you live says otherwise. Prices may change with at least 30 days' notice by email.
Fair Play
Do not try to get into another household, probe or overload our systems, reverse-engineer the service, use bots or scrapers, or use Chores Wars to harm anyone. We may suspend accounts that do. Arguing about whether the dishwasher was "fully" unloaded is allowed and encouraged.
Safety
Chores Wars suggests and tracks chores; it does not supervise them. You decide which chores are safe and right for each child's age. Never assign anything involving dangerous chemicals, tools, heat or heights to a child who is not ready for it.
Our Stuff
The Chores Wars name, logo, characters, germs, art, music and software belong to Horizen LLC. You may use the service for your family; you may not copy or resell it. Your family's information stays yours, and we use it only to run Chores Wars as our Privacy Policy describes.
Ending It
You can stop using Chores Wars at any time. A parent can delete the whole household (or just their own account, if another parent stays) in Profile; any subscription is cancelled at the same moment. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law or safety says otherwise.
Disclaimers
Chores Wars is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that your kids will actually clean their rooms.
Limitation Of Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Horizen LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data or profits, arising from your use of Chores Wars. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.
The Law
These terms are governed by the laws of North Carolina, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will update the date above and tell parents by email or in HQ before it applies. Continuing to use Chores Wars after that means you accept the new terms.
